Communications Associate

Courtney Tillman is the Communications Associate at the Council on Strategic Risks (CSR). She is a visual storyteller whose communications experience spans graphic design for events and publications, digital marketing, and website optimization. Prior to working at CSR, Courtney interned at the Future of Privacy Forum and the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, where she combined research and communications efforts to cover topics ranging from artificial intelligence to illicit trafficking.

Courtney is an active member of Women of Color Advancing Peace and Security (WCAPS) where she helps the Defense and Intelligence Working Group reach a broader audience on social media, and make national security more accessible to women and underrepresented communities. She is a #FutureFirst Fellow with Beyond the Bomb, an organization working toward total elimination of nuclear weapons on a global scale. She has a background in international relations and earned a joint bachelors in sociology and anthropology with a minor in Chinese language from Middlebury College.
