Sarang Shidore is a Senior Fellow with the Council on Strategic Risks. He is also a Senior Research Analyst at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin and a consultant. His area of focus is geopolitical risk and its intersection with the global energy transition and climate change. Additionally, he also has experience in security studies, international relations, and long-range forecasting, with a special emphasis on South Asia.
Sarang has worked and collaborated with think-tanks, governments, and political risk firms in multiple countries, including Stratfor, Oxford Analytica, UK Ministry of Defense, Paulson Institute, Stimson Center, and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. He has published widely in policy research journals, edited volumes, and the media. Sarang holds two graduate degrees in engineering and one in international studies and had a prior career in engineering and product management in the technology sector.
